Stack, Slice, and Shuffle

Have you tried the Stack, Slice, and Shuffle method for making cards? It is a fun way to make three, four, or however many cards you want to try. You simply stack, slice, and shuffle!

Find 3 coordinating Designer Series Paper and cut them all to the same size. I did 5 x 3 3/4. Just a little tip. You can cut up to three pieces of DSP at a time using the Paper Trimmer. So if you are doing three cuts, I recommend you do them at the same time. That will assure a better fit when you put them together. Then making sure they are stacked together evenly, slice them into three different shapes. Then shuffle them so you have one of each paper in the card, making the same design.

I used the Inked Botanicals DSP for my cards but forgot to take a picture of the cut pieces! Here is the card and the other two bases. I hope you can see how this works!

Mount the pieces on a coordinating piece of 4 x 5 1/4 cardstock. Then mount to your card base. Decorate it how you want.

The paper is 6 x 6, so when you are done cutting it you have strips of paper left over. Some are 1″ and the others are 2 1/4. Cut them into 1″ strips and you can make this card by gluing the strips on randomly. Another fun way to use up those scraps!
