One of the things that I love about Paper Pumpkin is that you can make so much more then what the kit suggests! One of my favorite ways to do it is to cut up the card bases so you can make more that one card. I did three cards out of one base here. What a great value!
I took the card base and cut two 4 x 5 1/2 pieces. Then I took one of them and cut it in half again to make two 4 x 2 3/4 inch pieces. I wanted to use some of my other stamps too, so I found a couple that I thought would work well.
Cake Card
Staying with the birthday theme of the kit, I used the Piece of Cake stamp set and the Cake Builder punch.
For the first two cards, I heat embossed the sentiment with white embossing powder. I think the darker color makes the white really stand out. I dug around in my scraps and found this fun paper that went well with the card base. After coloring in the cake and suckers, I put them on the leftover punched out piece. There’s almost always a way to use the discarded pieces!

In this next card, I used the Sailing Home set for a masculine birthday card. The retired cording made a great rope accent, although I had to look at the picture of the sailors knot on the Come Sail Away Designer Series Paper to make it!
Product ListFor the last card, I used the Lovely Lilypad stamp set. This is a free-with-purchase set from Sale-A-Bration.
