Four Seasons of Paper Florist Dies – Summer

It’s wonderful when a product is so versatile that you can use it all year round. That’s how I felt when I started working with the Paper Florist Dies. These are a stand alone die set, which means there is no coordinating stamp set. Having seasonal stamps and dies is great, but having something that works well in every season is even better! Since we still have a couple weeks left of summer, here’s a card for that season.

This is a pretty simple fun fold card to make. There is one extra score line and an additional fold. And you have something just a little different from your standard card.

Supplies

  1. Bubble Bath Cardstock 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 2 3/4, 5 1/2, scraps for the flowers.
  2. Garden Green Cardstock 3 1/2 x 3 1/2, scrap for leaf
  3. Basic White Cardstock 3 1/4 x 3 1/4
  4. Melon Mambo Cardstock scraps
  5. Delightfully Eclectic DSP 2 1/2 x 5 1/4
  6. Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad
  7. In Your Words Stamp Set – retired
  8. Paper Florist Dies
  9. Stampin Pierce Mat
  10. Take Your Pick Tool
  11. Multipurpose Glue

Directions

  1. Fold your card base so it looks like the one in the second picture, making a mountain fold. Adhere the DSP to the front of the fold.
  2. Die cut the flowers from the Bubble Bath CS using the dies in the lower left of the top section of dies in the below picture. Using a sponge dauber apply some Bubble Bath Ink to the inner parts of the flower. Die cut the stamen out of the Melon Mambo CS. Die cut the leaf out of Garden Green CS.
  3. Using you Pierce Mat and Take your Pick tool, gently in a circular motion, press down on each petal to give it some shape. Flip them over and glue two petals together and glue in the stamen. Take the tool and press down in the center to shape it even more.
  4. Adhere the Basic White CS to the Garden Green CS. Stamp your sentiment and add the flowers and leaf. Adhere this piece to the folded front, being careful to only put glue on part of the front so as not to glue everything together!

This fold can be used with so many papers and stamps and it is easy to do. I hope you will try it. Let me know if you do. I would love to see what you make.

Spread the love!
