I always have leftover Christmas paper after the holidays. As I was putting it away, probably never come out of my stash, I thought hey, this is red. I can use it for valentines! What a great way to use up my paper!

I used one of the new bundles from the new mini catalog called Hooray for Surprises. It is a really fun set that lets you make pull out parts to a card. You can put a saying or an image underneath for a fun surprise. I also used the Notes of Nature stamp set to add some background. I am really looking forward to playing with this bundle.

Another one I did was this one. I love plaids and was really pleased with how it turned out. Something about red and black just really appeals to me. It makes a nice masculine Valentine card. This one uses a Sale-a-bration embossing folder called Softly Sophisticated. It comes with a stamp set and is free with $100 purchase.

The last one I used a retired punch and embossed the hearts with different folders. I used an old book page for part of the background and sponged everything to give it a more antique look.

So before you put that Christmas paper away, look at the other side to see what you can do!
