I just love the many ways you can use the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper from the Petal Palette Suite. Whether you use it in just the black and white as I did in this post or do many of the other things you can with it, it is a great paper. I wanted to share some things I did with it as promised.
Stamping on it
Here is a card where I just stamped additional leaves in Old Olive. The stamp matches the paper which gives it a look of continuity. There’s my little bird again. Just love him.
Coloring
This was Fun! I used the Stampin Blends, which are alcohol markers, to color in different designs on the paper. I colored some of the white dots and then matched the balloons to those colors to make a fun birthday card.
While I was coloring, I noticed a very cool thing happening on the other side of the paper. Alcohol markers bleed through to the other side and they made an interesting effect. I went with fall colors on this one.
And this is what it looks like on the other side.
I plan on making a fall card with this – in the fall!
I think the next one is my favorite. The paper is already shaded, so for people who don’t like to blend, this is the perfect paper for you! Just color and you have a beautiful background paper. Now I did color these in with my right hand (I am left-handed) since I am still in a cast and sling. So forgive the outside of the lines coloring!
Don’t miss the beautiful embossing folder on this one. It doesn’t show up well in the picture, but there are two of them in the pack and they are lovely.
Brayering
The last thing I did was to brayer on the paper. I love how it looks on this particular pattern.
