Sometimes when I need inspiration, I look at challenge blogs to get my creativity going. That’s exactly what happened with this card. Over at Sweet Stampin’ was a challenge for Birth/Wedding/Anniversary card.
Well, the little birds in this Designer Series Paper were calling to me to make a card with them and I thought a wedding card would fit the bill. This paper is so beautiful and the best part about it is it is free with a purchase! And pairing it with the Countryside Inn DSP worked perfectly! The color coordination of the paper is important when using this fold because you are using both sides of the DSP.
You need a standard A2 card (5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4). I chose Boho Blue for mine. I measured at 3″ from the top and side and scored it to make the folded down flap. Then I cut a piece of the DSP to 4 x 5 1/4 and centered it (not adhered) on the front and folded the flap down. This put a crease in the DSP, which I then trimmed with paper snips. After that it is just a matter of die cutting and stamping!
The sentiments are from the Lifetime of Love set.
Here is a list of supplies I used
- Flight and Airy DSP
- Countryside Inn DSP
- Boho Blue Cardstock
- All That Dies
- Nested Essentials Dies
- Lifetime of Love bundle
- Ribbon from my stash
I hope you enjoyed this card. Thanks for stopping by!
